This policy explains what data is collected when you use bewithnick.com, and your choices.
The short version
- We don’t ask you to create an account, and the calculators run entirely in your browser. What you type into a calculator isn’t sent to us.
- We use Google services to measure traffic and show ads, and they may use cookies.
- Links to Amazon are affiliate links. Amazon may set cookies when you click through.
What is collected and by whom
Hosting and security (Cloudflare). Our site is served through Cloudflare. To deliver pages and block attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4). If enabled, Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and referral source, using cookies or similar technology. We use it only in aggregate, to see which pages are useful.
Advertising (Google AdSense). Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings. Learn how Google uses data from partner sites.
Affiliate links (Amazon Associates). When you click an Amazon link, Amazon may set cookies to credit us for a purchase. We never see who you are or what you bought, only aggregate commission reports.
Contact form and email. If you use the contact form or email us, your name, email address and message are sent to our inbox so we can reply. They’re used for nothing else. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re not a bot.
Newsletter (Kit). If you subscribe, your email address is stored by our newsletter provider, Kit, and used only to send you our updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Your choices
- Consent. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google’s certified consent management platform, before personalised ads or analytics cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link on the page.
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and in some US states to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted ads. Contact us to make a request.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
